Chris Pleibel
President, PWA
 

Since graduating from Kutztown University in 1991, I have grown in the professional world through unique experiences, opportunities and achieving a MBA. Every job from the restaurant industry, beverage wholesaling, tactical and administrative volunteer in a local fire department, and various others have helped me form a technique to perpetuate my career path where I continually seek to improve and be better prepared for future challenges to overcome.

My career in wireless started in 1999 at Summit Manufacturing with two quick stops at MTS Wireless Components and Andrew Corporation with a long and beneficial tenure with Primus Electronics. Most recently, I have accepted the position of National Director of sales at Perfect-10 Wireless, a distributor of wireless products to support infrastructure communication construction.

It is a true honor to be involved with the Pennsylvania Wireless Association since its inception. The PWA has grown into one of the most active associations with one of the country’s largest membership base and the country’s most dynamic and dedicated board of directors. Please embrace the PWA be as active as possible to make the most of the association and this great industry.

Adam Cummins
 
Adam Cummins is a Senior Executive at Matchpoint Consulting Group, a temporary and permanent staffing agency specializing in IT and Wireless Infrastructure Professionals. After graduating from Towson University in 2005, a 4 year member of the men's lacrosse team, Adam started his wireless career at Smartlink LLC out of Annapolis MD as the Northeast Sales Manager. In 2011 Adam joined the Primus Electronics team as a Business Development Manager before taking his current role at Matchpoint in 2013. Throughout Adam's career he has met a lot of great people in the industry through associations such as the Pennsylvania Wireless Association. Adam joined the board for the PWA in 2007 and is currently the Vice President. Adam believes that the state associations play a key part in bringing this dynamic industry together.

Jon Lapic

Jon is an appointed Chair to the PWA for the Western Part of PA. He is currently employed with Primus Electronics as a Territory Sales Manager.  In the past, Jon has worked for Eupen Cable as a territory manager and Crown Castle as a senior buyer.

Jon is based out of Pittsburgh, PA, where he lives with his wife Emily and their three children, Anna, Abram, and Nora. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University. Jon is extremely honored to now be a part of the Pennsylvania Wireless Association.



Philip A. Burtner, PE

Mr. Burtner is a managing member of NB&C Engineering Services, LLC, a leading telecommunications consulting firm serving the Eastern United States. Since its launch in 2011, NB&C Engineering Services has gained a significant market share of the telecommunications consulting services sector from Boston to the Carolinas, because they have carefully developed a talented team of service-oriented professionals.

 Mr. Burtner has extensive telecommunications experience, having been involved in the development of over 5,000 wireless telecommunications sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, working with every major carrier. He has expertise in all types of communications facilities, including rooftop and stealth installations, collocations, raw land tower sites, in-building antenna systems, and fiber optic installations. He supervises all aspects of planning, engineering and construction of these facilities, from site selection and coordination of due diligence investigations, thru zoning and permitting, to construction management and close-out. Mr. Burtner gained his track record of success from leadership positions he held with Advantage Engineers, CMX, Damiano & Long and URS Corporation. Mr. Burtner earned a BS in Civil Engineering and a MS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University. He is a licensed PE in 14 states. Phil is a life-member of Trout Unlimited serving on the Monocacy Chapter Board of Directors, and he is President of the Monocacy Creek Watershed Association in Bethlehem, PA

Michael W. Damiano
Treasurer
 
Michael manages PPL Infrastructure Services, LLC a subsidiary of the PPL Corporation that offers collocation solutions to the wireless industry by  utilizing electrical transmission and substation infrastructure. PPL Infrastructure Services provides a comprehensive turnkey solution that includes site identification, site development, assistance with zoning approval, and ongoing site maintenance. 
 
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a MBA in Finance from DeSales University. In addition to managing PPL Infrastructure Services, Michael is a Board Member and Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Wireless Association, founding and associate Board Member of the Utilisite Council, and participates as a Board member in several other private companies.

Jim Fryer
Marketing & PR Chairman
 
Jim is the Managing Editor of Inside Towers, the only daily newletter serving the tower industry.  He also founded Fryer's Site Guide, the first comprehensive database of tower sites on the market and later adapted it to it's electronic version: Fryer's TowerSource. Fryer's company won the "Excellence in Business Award" for consecutive years at the Tower Summit Conference also publishing the Tower Owner Buyer's Guide and Fryer's Tower Market Report. As an industry analyst, Fryer has been quoted widely in trade publications and national media alike. Time Magazine called him "the tower industry's chief data tracker". Jim now consults with major tower companies such as Crown Castle, is a contributing editor to AGL Magazine and on the board of the Pennsylvania Wireless Association. Jim is a former general manager of the Pittsburgh Business Times and regional publisher with McGraw-Hill and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.  GO MIZZOU!

Jeffery DeLucia - PWA Western Committee

Jeffery De Lucia is a telecommunications Project Manager for Advantage Engineers in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office.  In keeping pace with this ever‐changing industry, Advantage Engineers offers a client‐focused approach to delivering high‐quality, efficient engineering and consulting services for telecommunications networks.  Jeff has been involved with telecommunications projects covering territories from the Midwest to the east coast for over 20 years since starting in the industry as a civil designer for Aerial Communications, now T‐Mobile USA Inc.  His vast design, implementation, and construction experience on various telecommunications projects has provided him with a deep understanding and established presence throughout the industry Jeff is thrilled to work on growing the Pennsylvania Wireless Association within the Western region.


Lisa Rider - PWA Western Committee

Lisa Rider is a telecommunications Project Manager in Dewberry’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office.  Dewberry is a leading, market-facing firm with a proven history of providing professional services to a wide variety of public- and private-sector clients. In keeping pace with this ever-changing industry, we offer a client-focused approach to delivering high-quality, efficient engineering services to assist with building wireless telecommunications networks.  Lisa’s background includes project management and preparation of site development projects for design, grading, storm water management, and erosion and sediment control for various types of site development in many states.  She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Widener University and is pleased to be part of the Pennsylvania Wireless Association. 


David Ricci - PWA Western Committee

David Ricci is one of the valued Project Managers at Wireless Services, Inc. (WSI), a general contracting and testing company that provides standard and custom turn-key solutions for the wireless industry. He is a loyal employee of 13 years (with 18 total years in the industry) who began as a tower hand and advanced to Project Manager responsible for coordinating projects and managing all aspects of the tower division of the company. Based out of Pittsburgh, PA, WSI is a preferred contractor for Crown Castle and Verizon Wireless, making Dave responsible for clients’ jobsites in numerous surrounding and nearby states. He is a certified Project Coordinator who specializes in DAS and test equipment, while keeping abreast of new products from leading industry equipment providers, with certifications from Anritsu and JDSU. Away from the office, he is a family man with a wife and 2 children, as well as an avid golfer. 


Marc Geddio - Education Committee Co-Chair

My background of the past 25 years has been diversified between Architecture & Engineering, Telecom General Contractor, International and Domestic Construction Management, 3rd Party Logistics, Telecommunications, and most recently, over the last 5 years, National Business Development.   Working for: bTransparent Wireless Group, based in NYC, TXR for Clearwire, Telecom Transport Management  As a long term member of the PWA, my assignments have been weighed toward operational leadership, demanding scalable skills and talents, e.g., customer satisfaction, strategic planning, lean purchasing and value-based engineering. My peers describe me as a consistent achiever who is future oriented and focused on results. Since 2012, I operate as a National Strategic Sales Manager servicing the Northern regions of the US, covering 30 States.



Tracy Bender - Membership/Social committee chair position

Tracy Bender is Director of Business Development for Advantage Engineers, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with seven offices nationwide.  Advantage Engineers provides expert consulting and engineering services to design, procure, and deploy communications networks for commercial and government clients.  Employing over 200 engineers, project and program managers, site acquisition specialists, geologists, scientists and dedicated support staff, Advantage provides network development services that include program planning, engineering, real estate, regulatory support, and project and construction management.  Tracy has worked in the wireless industry for 20 years, providing operations management, business development, and executive level management for wireless consulting companies in the Mid-Atlantic region with projects throughout the Eastern U.S.  Tracy’s career focus has always been to provide customers the most cost-effective solutions with the highest quality speed-to-market services.  She joined Advantage Engineers in 2013 to focus on geographic expansion while providing customers with a seamless experience and overall project success.  Tracy is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography.
